Pregnancy is a boon and what comes after is inexplicable in terms of happiness. We get the greatest gift of our lives at the end of our pregnancy that is a baby. Once the initial euphoria gets over, a mother starts getting upset about the access weight that she is left with, a reminiscence of the days gone by but not very pleasant. Every woman during pregnancy gains around twenty five to thirty five pounds some even more than that. A woman can immediately do away with twelve to thirteen pounds as soon as she gives birth but still gets left with at least half of her weight to deal with.

What women should realize is that the weight which they have gained in nine months cannot possible be gotten rid of in just nine weeks. They will have to be extremely patient and motivated about the whole process in order to lose weight. You can lose up to a pound per week and it will take at least eight to nine months for you to get back into shape. Now this rate is average only, some women take lesser than this while some take much longer. This can only serve as a yardstick as for an average woman this is the time that is taken to lose baby fat. Some tips from my personal experience for a quick and easy weight loss after pregnancy are:

  • Now when you are done with a pregnancy, don't start exercising as soon as you can. Give your body a rest for the first three months as it needs it. During this time just focus on the food that you are eating. Don't start fully fledged dieting, just take a well-balanced diet which will help you along the process.
  • After the initial three months, start out with slow exercises like brisk walking as these really can be of a lot of help to get your body into the mould. Slowly and gradually build up your stamina and the intensity of the exercises that you are doing. You can start with walking as it can serve as a warm up exercise for the ones to follow.
  • If you are already not into it, eat several small meals instead of just three larger ones as these can really uplift your metabolism thus pushing you towards weight loss with great success.
  • We all love to store all sorts of junk food in our kitchen, avoid that if you want to get back into shape after pregnancy. Now I know that it must be pretty difficult for you to cook along with a new born baby but trust me, the trouble that you take today will surely affect you positively in the long run. Fruits and veggies, whole grains, and low-fat dairy products are the things to indulge in if you really want quick weight loss.
  • Maybe the most important thing is to be patient no matter what happens as weight loss after pregnancy is going to take some time. Don't compare yourself to other women out there as every woman is completely different from the other and what works for others will not necessarily work for you as well. So yes, quick and easy weight loss after pregnancy is possible if you just put your mind to it completely.
