You run for fifteen minutes the first day and then walk for five minutes or so. Gradually you can increase up to thirty minutes or so. Once you start running properly you can lose up to half a pound per week in the beginning for the first few weeks or so. You start with the motivation of getting some weight off your body but you eventually end up enjoying yourself completely. After sometime you won't need those five minutes of walking that you did initially. Running actually involves the whole body and not only a specific area which is why it is so successful in making you lose weight in large amounts if adhered to completely. But well, while you use running to start a good life and get in shape, you also need to take control over your diet completely and follow a good and well-balanced diet program if you really want to get anywhere with your weight loss goal by using natural weight loss procedures.

They right way to using running as a natural weight loss procedure is to start slowly and not all at once. You need to gradually build up your stamina to avoid shortness of breath, injuries etc. you will see that running will serve you as a powerful natural weight loss exercise and not only that, your whole body is going to benefit by it.
