Contrary to popular belief, there are no fat loss secrets. No matter what some so-called experts shout from their rooftops, the truth is that there is no secret magic that can make a person lose weight by waving a wand. The process to lose weight is simple: follow a suitable diet plan and indulge in more physical activity. Those who want to sell you a secret formula for losing weight effectively makes your wallet lighter in weight.

A person loses weight when he/she uses up more calories than he/she takes in. It's as simple as that. Eating suitable foods and along with a little bit of daily will do the trick. But you must be careful about those fad or crash diets that will only almost keep you starving and harm your health in the long run. You must opt for a diet that is physiologically sound and does not damage your body. Low carb diets can also be harmful as the lack of carbohydrates will deprive your body of the required energy leaving you tired and lethargy. Another important requirement for losing weight is eating in moderation. The calorie intake must be kept at reasonable limits at any cost.

Drinking lots of water, preferably eight 8-oz glasses per day, and switching to low fat foods will help you greatly in losing your extra fat. Any good diet plan is likely to contain sufficient quantities of vitamins and minerals, as well as enough carbohydrates and proteins.

Among effective weight loss foods are fruits and vegetables that are usually low in energy. These foods include broccoli, cucumber, asparagus, watermelon and berries.

In recent times, some people are coming out with things like ‘top secret fat loss secret' as the final weight loss solution. But if studied carefully, it is impossible to find any secret in those ‘secrets.' They mostly tell you the same things which you already know. They will ask you to control your food portion, do regular physical exercise, keep away from processed foods, eat good fats and lean protein etc. Nothing but a rehash of almost everything you already knew! Moreover, such so-called secrets even recommend things that are vehemently opposed by experienced doctors.

So, there is actually no such thing as fat loss secrets. The familiar, established ways are more than enough to help one lose weight.
