What makes humans is are inclination towards giving up easily. Weight loss needs tremendous effort not to say tons of will power for us to actually stay right on the track. The most common mistakes trying to lose pounds are the ones which makes effective weight loss a big problem. The most common mistakes out of those are the following.

1. Planning your life and your days is never bad, I don't have any idea why we fail to understand this simple fact that can change the way our life is. You should always be clear about what your targets regarding weight loss are. Try to get some help if you are not sure that you can manage to achieve it on your own.

2. Don't be distracted by life or by your hobbies into skipping your diet or exercise even for one day because such things tend to become a hobby fast. Set aside a particular time for gym or even if you have decided to do this at home and don't be deterred by anything to follow it completely.

3. Remember, if you want to have some quick fat loss, you will need to combine both exercise and diet in your routine and try to manage both of them somehow.

4. Too much or too little of anything is bad and that goes for training or exercise as well. Workout on alternate days and take some quality rest in between those days.

5. Every other person is different, comparison with your friends or people that you know that you think are smarter will only leave you feeling more miserable. But one thing you must also understand is that a lot has to do with the genes that that person has inherited as well.

6. If you keep on doing the same exercises over and over again, not only will you feel less motivated to begin with but also those exercises will not remain as effective as they were when you started them. The main reason being the simple fact that our body adapts to change very quickly and when it does it stops burning calories so don't give this much time to it to adapt and try to come up with different exercises each week for you to lose weight effectively.

7. It does take some time and effort to lose weight. You will need to adjust your lifestyle with a balanced diet as well as a little bit of exercise to go with it. but don't think that just because you have joined a gym, your weight is going to go down, no it won't and if you keep on thinking on these lines you will be utterly disappointed.

So the above are some of the most common mistakes trying to lose pounds and really many people fail to lose weight just because of these seemingly foolish mistakes. So try to adjust your lifestyle according to the weight that you want, don't expect that going on crash diet will help, it will in the short run, but as soon as you leave the diet, all the old weight will come back. So better safe than sorry!
