Do some physical exercise at least thrice a week for at least 30 minutes per workout. Exercise will help you improve your metabolism, which will help you burn your pounds.As an exercise, you may walk, jog, or run in your neighborhood or on a treadmill at your neighborhood gym. Make sure to go for weight training if you decide to work out at a gym. This will give you quicker results.

Finding a friend who will support you always helps. Try to find a friend who also wants to lose weight and compare notes, weigh-in together. It's even better if you have a contest as to who loses weight quicker. Set a deadline for yourself to lose your pounds and write it down. For example, 'By March 25, 2009 I will weigh 140 lbs or less'.
