How Fast Weight Loss Can Be Dangerous

I don't know why this rapid weight loss mania has crept up in the world. There was a time when people used to be pretty patient with everything that they did but that does not hold true about any of the things that we do today. We just need results as quickly as we can get them; even the educated lot does not consider how fast weight loss can be dangerous for them. If you really want to stick to the weight that you have fought so hard to have, stick to the dieting or eating plan that got you where you are now. Don't even think about changing it even if you have achieved the goal that you had in mind. So these are the ways how fast weight loss can be dangerous for your health.

1. All over the internet you will see many websites forcing you to take one diet or the other in which usually the focus is on one type of food that you have to take. This is seriously not a good habit to form as there is a way these things work and every food that we are eating contains some nutrients that we have no right to deprive the body of. You cannot practically be healthy if you eat just carbs or proteins, your body needs a well balanced diet containing all of these nutrients for it to function at its best. So try and choose foods from all the available food groups as no essential nutrient should be compromised upon only to shed a few pounds.

2. If you are on a fast weight loss diet, as soon as you stop the diet, you are going to gain the weight back sooner than you think. This is because these diets help you to lose the water weight only and not the real fat that is stored in your body. So once the diet is done and you start eating normally again, the weight starts coming back again.

3. Anorexia, bulimia and many such eating disorders are the fruit of such rapid diets where the concept of diet goes overboard to a large extent. These disorders have resulted in the deaths of people suffering from them due to their severity.

I am not against rapid weight loss at all but am only in favor of it, only if it is carried out under extensive supervision of people who are specialists of this field, aka the medical professionals. Don't try to take your life in your hands just to lose a few pounds. For any effective weight loss procedure, diet and exercise have to go hand in hand; no one thing should be compromised in favor of the other. Only then can you have an effective weight loss possible. Similarly try to have courage, wisdom and above all the patience to lose weight as it does require loads of it. So now you know how fast weight loss programs can be dangerous for you if done without any supervision whatsoever.
